چکیده
The climate anomaly in the Amazon River basin (ARB) has a very important influence on global change and always been focus of scientists from all over world. To fill 11-month data gap between Gravity Recovery Climate Experiment (GRACE) GRACE Follow-On (GRACE-FO) missions, we fused TWSC results six solutions by using generalized three-cornered hat least square method to improve reliability results, then combined Swarm construct an uninterrupted long time series TWSC-based drought index (GRACE/Swarm-DSI). was used detect characterize events ARB 2003 2020. show that GRACE/Swarm-DSI strong correlation with Self-Calibrating Palmer Drought Severity Index (SCPDSI) (0.6345), Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index-3 (SPEI-3) (0.5411), SPEI-6 (0.6377) SPEI-12 (0.6820), Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency above four indices are 0.3348, 0.2786, 0.4044 0.4627, respectively. Eleven were identified during study period, 2005, 2010 2016 droughts most severe longest. precipitation (PPT) (the coefficient is 0.55 2-month delay) higher than evapotranspiration (ET) ?0.18 12-month delay). It explains less PPT main cause ARB. greater plains one mountains response 1~2 months regions. Our provide certain reference for hydrological application model filling GRACE-FO missions.

Moisture Transport Anomalies over the Danube River Basin during Two Drought Events: A Lagrangian Analysis
In this paper, we provide a Lagrangian analysis of the anomalies in the moisture transport during two important drought events (1989/1990 and 2003) configured over the Danube River Basin (DRB) region. Firstly, we identified the drought episodes that occurred over the DRB in the period of 1980–2014 through the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI). SPEI was calculated using ...

Characterizing Drought and Flood Events over the Yangtze River Basin Using the HUST-Grace2016 Solution and Ancillary Data
Accurate terrestrial water storage (TWS) estimation is important to evaluate the situation of the water resources over the Yangtze River Basin (YRB). This study exploits the TWS observation from the new temporal gravity field model, HUST-Grace2016 (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), which is developed by a new low-frequency noise processing strategy. A novel GRACE (Gravity Recovery...
متن کامل2005 drought event in the Amazon River basin as measured by GRACE and estimated by climate models
[1] Satellite gravity measurements from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) provide new quantitative measures of the 2005 extreme drought event in the Amazon river basin, regarded as the worst in over a century. GRACE measures a significant decrease in terrestrial water storage (TWS) in the central Amazon basin in the summer of 2005, relative to the average of the 5 other summer...
